Team
Axmann, Heike works as a Senior Program Manager at FairMatch Support. She has over 15 years of experience in the development and implementation of sustainable certification systems in international commercial chains. Heike started her career at Skal and has worked at Agrofair and Eosta. She studied TropischeLandbouw (tropical agriculture) at the Wageningen University.
Bosch, uit de, Herman is founder and Managing Director of FairMatch Support. He has many years of experience in the area of developing supply chains and matching companies with (small) producers. He used to do this for AHOLD, Unilever, TDG, Intersnack, and other companies. He was also closely involved in the development of sector wide initiatives such as FSC, BCI and FLO, and was co-founder of the Dutch brand SUMM.
van Doorn, Paul is FairMatch Supports Finance Manager. He has over 30 years of financial experience working in various sectors, such as the food industry and logistics. As Financial Manager, he has worked for companies like Ahold and United Biscuits. Paul studied Finance and Control at the Netherlands Business Academy.
De Groot, Ewoud is Program Manager. He studied Social Geography. His working experience was mainly in the private sector. During his study he followed a internship in Ghana, with one of our local partners. Over there he learned a lot about the field we work in. At FairMatch Support he supports some of our largest projects.
Haakshorst, Leonie is Senior Program Manager. For the last 15 years she has been working with several companies and business support organizations in the Netherlands and developing countries, to implement ‘corporate social responsibility’ and develop sustainable supply chains. Within ICCO she coordinated the tropical fruit program among which the cooperation with Albert Heijn. The last few years she moved FairConnect from a concept to a sustainable food company. Leonie studied Business Administration and has a Master degree in ‘development studies’.
Huurdeman, Kathelijne is Communications and Office Manager at FairMatch Support. She studied Cultuur en Beleid (Culture and Policy) in Amsterdam and worked for various non-profit organisations in communication, marketing, organising events and office management. She also worked for the VARA and NederlandsePubliekeOmroep (NPO) broadcasting corporations.
Sleeuwen, van, Mark works at FairMatch Support as Program Manager. He has experience with business development services at local NGOs in Africa and with project management for private organisations in various countries in Asia and the Middle East. Mark has a Bsc in logistics and technical transport management and a Msc in Management.
Wolters, Marnix is Senior Program Manager at FairMatch Support. He has a background in trading sustainable fresh fruits and vegetables as well as flowers. He knows what it takes to get a perishable crop to Europe, has supported small farmers in reaching export quality production and marketed produce to wholesale and retail clients. Marnix studied urban landscape design and management.
Supervisory board
The supervisory board monitors and advises the FairMatch Support management team. The board consists of three persons who avail of important supplementary knowledge and experience in our field.
Alebikiya,Malex is Managing Director of a Ghanaian network development organisation. He has many years of experience in supporting farmer’s organisations and recent initiatives in this area, such as the Savanna Farmers Marketing Company.
Jansen, Koert is Fund Manager at Triodos Sustainable Trade Fund. This fund helps fair trade and organic agricultural producers in developing countries to pre-finance export to clients in the EU and the US.
Rijninks, Maarten is Chairman of the supervisory board. He has extensive experience in wholesale trade and retail trade in fair trade and organic. He is co-founder and Managing Director of FairConnect Ltd.
